Jono Doiron

Jono Doiron (jon-no do-i-run) has been consistently exhibiting his work with The Upstairs Apartment Gallery since December 2008. Having shown his work in The Upstairs Apartment Gallery has resulted in him selling work and achieving recognition among the public and other artists. It has even earned him his very first solo exhibition in an art gallery: ‘True Faces’ which will take place at Argyle Fine Art Gallery in November 2009.

Since January of this year (2009), Jono has been pursuing painting and has also displayed his work at Argyle Fine Art Gallery, The Seahorse Tavern, The Craig Gallery and Paper Chase Café.

Jono enrolled in the New Brunswick Community College of Miramichi in 2004. There he studied fine arts including drawing, painting, and sculpting. The following year, he enrolled in an Animation course at that same institution. Jono is also a graduate of Art Instruction Schools correspondence art program.

Since his College graduation in June 2007, Jono has worked as an animator, character designer, illustrator and painter. He has animated on such shows as: ‘Johnny Test’, ‘Busytown Mysteries’ and ‘Razzberry Jazzberry Jam’.

Due to his Animation background, Jono’s work most often has a cartoonist flair favoring imagery of whimsical nature weighed against the backdrop of solemn issues.
